Appearance

Keonrain is an average height for his species, he is the most muscular of the group though not overly so. His skin for the most part is a dark grey green colour which fades to white on his hands, feet, belly and tail tip. He has white markings similar to gears or swirls on his face, both shoulders, hips and ankles as well as his tail. Keonrain's crown is composed of black, orange and yellow feathers resembling fire. These coloures are also seen in a few markings, mainly on the tail, ankles and a few his right arm. Keonrain mainly wears either t-shirts or semi-formal shirts rolled up at the sleeve with a loose pair of navy jeans and grey green converse shoes. One thing Keonrain will always be seen in, however, are a pair of red suspenders.

This is because Accelerate, upon arriving on Earth, managed to convince Keonrain that suspenders were 'cool' at the time and Keonrain refused to believe anything else, much less that Ace was only joking.

 

Weapons

Keonrain prefers to use traditional weapons against the Avyloci which are his bow and arrows, however, he has begun using a new human weapons in the hopes that it will become his 'signature' weapon that will mark him a hero back home. Upon escaping from Earth, Keonrain picked up a pair of nunchucks from a project that was experimenting with modernized versions of old weaponry. In particular, the nunchucks were equipped with energy blades in addition to also being used for a powerful hit. With energy signature experimentation, the nunchucks, when fitted with a specific energy signature, does not harm the user. As such, Keonrain found it his weapon of choice as he is not only able to slice into his opponent, but can also disable the energy blades in order to simply knock out an threat without killing.

Keonrain is a solitary exrovert, meaning that although he gets his energy from being with people, he can handle quite a bit of alone time before he has to go and seek out his friends again. He prefers, however, to be with his group around which he is most comfortable with. He can spend quite a lot of time with his friends before needing time alone, if at all. Keon is very altruistic and group oriented, he cares deeply for his people and always wants to help them out as best he can. Sometimes this can be at his own expense and often times it can begin to come across as bossyness or as an overbearing attitude. This sometimes undermines his actual intentions which are almost always true. Through this, Keon can also be called overprotective. Sometimes he just goes too far if he feels the people closest to him are being threatened. This has only been intensified by the death of his mentor when he was younger. It has caused him to fear loosing someone closest to him if he does not keep them safe. He is loyal and bonds closely with people which can make things difficult for him to deal with in times of danger. 

 

Keonrain is very emotional, often seen as rash and stubborn when he belives something needs to be done. His behavour is often a large part of what can sometimes be called a 'Hero Complex', while not an actual disorder, it is derived from hearing stories of heroes as a child and this influencing him to want to be one of them. As such, Keonrain often has an idealistic and naive view of the world, believing that people who do 'the right thing' are always rewarded by karma and will always save the day. Because of this, he allows his feelings to govern his actions and can become self-sacrificing even when there is another way, often believing that, as a hero, he cannot fail. Often times his friends have to be very firm in keeping him under control. When he feels something needs to be done, especially when helping people, he can be very stubborn and relentless in reaching his desired outcome, especially if he would recive recognition for it.

 

Keon is passionate and expressive, he throws himself into things one hundred percent if he believes in it and often times he does not know when to stop. He finds it difficult to hide his emotions and though he sometimes might think he's being the 'stoic silent type' he's actually found quite transparent by others. Not so much as Accelerate, but enough for people to be able to guess his mood and thought process after only a little time of being around him. He is also empathetic toward others, finding himself taking on their emotions and becoming emotionally involved in their joys and sorrows. For this reason, he can quickly become attatched to people and can get caught up in things that he really shouldn't. He is often friendly, and willing to have a chat with anyone however he is very opinionated and blunt. This has gotten him into quite a bit of trouble his whole life and as a result he can easily become reactive and defensive, trying to end the fight before it had even begun. 

 

If it wasn't obvious by his general attitude, Keon is a team-player and always prefers to work with a group than alone. This is due to the fact that he often seeks recognition and approval from others. When working in a team, he always prefers to take charge, however his 'hero complex' has caused him to make several bad judgements in the past and as such his group always takes his decisions with a grain of salt. While he would never admit it, this does tend to get to him, luckily he does have a friend who noticies this and whom is able to reassure him. Keon is 

 

History

Keonrain was born an only child to two loving parents. Since the moment he hatched, was sung stories of the great heroes and other such lullabies and from a young age, he'd show a keen interest in these heroes, often remaining with the elders to hear their stories long after the other children had lost interest. Keonrain was always inspired by these stories and decided when he was small, that he was going to become a hero so that all seven tribes would tell stories about him years after he joined the ancestors.

 

With this goal in mind, Keonrain tried to emulate his heroes, spending countless hours practicing his battle skills to make sure he was always the top of his classes. Keonrain tried to be noble, honorable and strong in everything he did. It was testament to Keon's determination when he was one of the first to fly across the two platforms that would mark him ready to become an apprentice. When Denlos became his mentor, a whole new world opened up to Keonrain. He began to train harder than ever to the point where the healers became concerned for his well being. Seeing this, Denlos introduced Keonrain to woodcarving, at first Keonrain was scornful of this art, after all, there was no story about a Hero that could carve figures in wood. However, it didn't take long for Denlos to win him over, telling young Keon that he could carve his favourite heroes for himself and the other children. 

 

This new skill helped Keon balance out his life, enabling him to work hard when he needed to while still having something else to focus on when he wasn't trying to become one of his heroes. After a while, however, Keon began to grow bored of the life of an apprentice. He found that it wasn't meeting his expectations of what he would be doing. So, in the middle of the night, he decided to sneak away in the hopes that he might kill a Rasharrn and be the youngest Avyloci to do so. 

Once Keonrain reached the forest, however, it wasn't three minutes before a Rasharrn had come down on top of him seemingly out of nowhere. Keon found himself quickly pinned down or helpless, unable to decide whether he was angry that he'd been taken down so quickly, or terrified that he was going to die.

 

Almost immediately, however, Denlos came down on the Rasharrn with a mighty cry. The Rasharrn let go of Keonrain in exchange for a larger prize, Keon wanted to help his mentor, but he was frozen in terror as the beast's jaws clamped down on his mentor's arm and began to shake its head violently. Keonrain could hardly tear his eyes away from his gory sight as Denlos screamed in both agony and to urge Keon to fly. All of a sudden, Keon felt himself scooped up as a team of warriors led an attack.

 

Having been taken back to the tribe and the healers Keon was in shock for quite some time and then was told by one of the healers that Deonlos did not survive the attack. It took Keonrain a long time to get over his grief for his mentor and the guilt at his own inadequacy. He was assigned a new young mentor called Yukov who was a kind young woman, helping him to move on from his grief and get him back into his training.

Keonrain went on to finish his training after vowing that he would never freeze up again or allow anyone to be hurt on his account ever again. He has done many heroic things since, saving his fellow hunters from the jaws of the Rasharrn however, he has never given up on the prospect of being a hero. In fact, Keon is more eager than ever to become a hero in the stories which he believes will make up for the death of Denlos. When the opportunity to leave Vael came up, Keon was the first to volunteer, knowing that if he returned with the answer, it would certainly make him a place in the stories of heroes.

Strengths

Keonrain tries to be heroic in all that he does. This gives him a strong moral conviction of what he believes to be right and wrong. He is protective of his friends, incredibly loyal and often self-sacrificing. He is trusting and it doesn't take much to sway his sympathies if you give him a good enough sob story. 

 

Weaknesses

His strengths are also his weaknesses. His strong moral conviction means that he is often intolerant toward those he believes are immoral or evil. His self-sacrificing nature means that he is often quick to give himself up for his friends and often they're the ones who have to drag him back. His trusting nature also means he can be duped easily and he has quite a naive view of the world.
