Appearance

All Sulleth will have a predominantly bipedal form, however, some have known to be able to switch to a quad form of movement. Like all Sulleth, Amneon at first appears semi-corporeal, made out of mist, smoke and darkness, however, in the light, his full form is able to be made out. Amneon has a relatively humanoid face with ears resembling a cat. His eyes are large with thin catlike pupils and his mouth is almost always stretched impossibly far in a constant leer.

Amneon has hooves instead of feet and intimidating tentacles stretching from his back capable of breaking limbs. He has long arms in order to grip his prey and pull it in close as well as having a short fluffy tail. His colour is predominantly black or very dark grey with purple bioluminesent markings on his body. 

Like all Sulleth, Amneon is able to alter its own anatomical structure in order to become semi-corporeal however just like all Sulleth. It can only hold this form while holding a level of concentration. In addition to this, Sulleth must be very careful not to become fully corporeal while in contact with an object or they run the risk of becoming solid around it which can cause severe injury or death. Also, being in this semi-corporeal form weakens and causes them pain after an extended amount of time.

 

Weapons

In the Sulleth's culture, it is considered a great weakness to use weapons in battle as it simply proves that the Sulleth is not strong enough to fight by itself. As such, all Sulleth will only use their bodies when in battle, thankfully for them, this usually isn't an issue as most come equiped with some form of claws, teeth etc. Another thing a Sulleth will rarely do it become incorporeal in battle, this is because in the fast pace of the situation, it is common for Sulleth to become corporeal inside their prey or another object which usually causes the death of both the Sulleth and the prey. In the case of Amneon, he will most likely use his long arms or tentacles in order to grip, crush and manipulate his prey and may strike out with his hooves if he feels it necessary.

 

Personality

Amneon has a strong sense of ambition as all creatures of his species do. This drive causes an intense desire to be the strongest, and that usually means defeating anyone who might stand in their way. Amneon has this intense Sulleth pride that drives him to become aggressive to anyone he perceives as a threat in terms of hierarchy. Usually, Sulleth are not created with strong emotional capabilities and therefore are able to advance their race without sentiment, those who are weaker are immediately rooted out. Amneon, is an anomaly within his race. He was modified with a strong emotional capacity akin to that of a human. This often contradicts his natural born instincts, however, his instincts almost always prove stronger than his emotions. Amneon has a very strong sense of empathy toward others and can often understand or imagine what they're going through. This is what causes Amneon's insanity. 

 

Amneon is driven by this fierce Sulleth ambition to be the strongest no matter the cost and trying to fight against these instincts causes pent up aggression, cruelty which leads to physical symptoms very similar to those of a drug addict going through a withdrawal: Sweating, Racing heart, Palpitations, Muscle tension, Tightness in the chest, Difficulty breathing, Tremors, Nausea and vomiting. It isn't long until Amneon must give in to these instincts and go after whatever he perceives as stronger than himself. However, when Amneon finally does take out the threat, his sense of empathy and compassion drives him into deep guilt so intense that somewhere along the line, his mind broke. 

 

To others, when in control of himself, Amneon appears calm, cold and cruel with an eccentric streak that on occasion can betray glimpses of the madness beneath. On the rare occasion that someone were to witness a fit of madness, they'd see Amneon reduced to a shuddering heap, laughing and crying at the same time with such pitiful intensity. He'll often mumble when in this state, mumble about how he can still hear the screams of pain, still see their faces as they died, about how he doesn't want to hurt people anymore. But in the end, he's always forced back into it. 

Amneon is, like all Sulleth, solitary by nature. However, he chooses to remain solitary out of the desire not to be tempted to hurt others, he doesn't last for long though, and will always be drawn back to others. He prefers to be near young people and small children the most, he figures they're the least likely to threaten his strength.

 

History

Amneon was created, like all his species, from one of the voids on Rhect. He spent the first few years of his life around the same void from which he was born, simply fighting the other newborn Sulleth. This is the most dangerous time of a Sulleth's life, as their killing instinct is the strongest and many don't make it away from the void. 

Luckily, Amneon proved strong enough to take down all those in his way, once he was the strongest around the void, he set off across his planet in search of others to fight and build up his strength, avoiding those he can't beat and seeking out those that he might. Sulleth have a strong sense of hierarchy, immediately able to tell how strong another of their race is. Once Sulleth learn how to control their ambition to a certain extent, they begin using weaker Sulleth to do tasks for them. It was this way that Amneon made it into the hierarchy. For thousands of years, the Sulleth's ambition has caused them to reach beyond their own planet to planets beyond. For years, Amneon worked under superiors with a team of others, hunting down threats to the Sulleth empire to become stronger.

He would then return to Rhect and challenge his superiors for a higher rank. It was, however, when Amneon was told about a experimental station on a planet called Earth, that his life began to change. The Sulleth had made a deal with the Humans, giving them their technology in order for the humans to perform experiments regarding strength. The humans believed that the Sulleth were helping them to advance their race, while the Sulleth were only using the humans as lab rats or test subjects. Amneon was sent to oversee some of the experiments. While he was there, he felt only contempt toward these weak creatures and their arrogance.

 

After the deaths of some of the more arrogant scientists, the others knew to fear and submit to Amneon. Despite this, within a year, the Sulleth leader had sent another team to earth and before Amneon could fight back, they had subdued him. Amneon was then given to the scientists for an experiment, the scientists were to alter his mind and try to develop human emotions in him in order to see if emotions would give the Sulleth an edge when combined with their ambition. After three years of painful testing, they had finally accomplished what they'd set out to do. Amneon could feel human emotions. Unfortunately, this had a severe negative effect on his psyche. 

 

Amneon was now riddled with such guilt that it began to drive him insane . Once released from his prison, he murdered each scientist that had experimented on him, however, he was still under strict orders not to cause utter chaos. It was one day that he was watching an experiment on a human when he heard one of the scientists insult him under his breath. Enraged by the comment and fulled by instinct to take down the possible threat, Amneon began to attack. It wasn't until the man was lying bloody and torn that Ameon heard him start to plead, the man begged him to let him live for his children. But through the blood lust, Amneon took his life. Amneon didn't understand the parental bond that humans displayed, Sulleth didn't have parents or children. Curiously, he went to find the scientist's children, he found a brother and sister, no older than ten, both crying as their mother told them their father would never be coming home. The alien feelings began to assault Amneon far worse than ever and the onslaught of guilt eventually broke Amneon's mind. 

 

He then thought of a way out, he felt no desire to hurt others weaker than himself, so if he became the strongest in the universe, he would not need to hurt people anymore. This is now what drives Amneon, his desperate need to be the strongest, so that he never has to hurt people again. Ameon lived in that state for years more, watching over the Sulleth's experimental planet as a failed experiment himself. Eventually one day, a group of Avyloci escaped from earth with a human. Now Amneon was given a team of other Sulleth along with one of the human experiments, and was told to hunt down this group. Now Amneon seeks them out relentlessly, unable to give up the chase though every step he takes buries him deeper and deeper.

Sulleth are not born by one of their own species, instead, they are born by a natural void phenomenon on their home planet. There are several large pits or voids and when enough energy is condensed into one point, a Sulleth forms. It is for this reason that the Sulleth don't naturally form bonds with others. Even when hunting in a team, Sulleth will always hunt alone but when one locates the prey, the others in the team will naturally converge to aid the first Sulleth. It is for this reason that the Sulleth have no family or any sort of familial or Platonic bonds. This is also true for Amneon, he in particular dislikes working with others and will often become aggressive when forced into contact with others.
